OUTLINE:

Theme: control/proportion/scale

What:  There were 4 jars, 2 bowls, a teapot,

How:
The jars were thrown like bowls but the walls there pulled to together with a choking technique. The jars were kept all about the same size.  The jars were all about 4, 3, and 5 inches tall and wide. The lids for the jars were also kept the same. The scale for all the projects had about the same scale. The only differences were when the set of three were made the scale grew and shrank. The jars were blue and yellow. The one jar was a winter jar with snowflakes with the saying let it snow. The glazes were blue and clear.

The 2 bowls made started as cylinders and were pulled out and created a bowl shape. The glazes were shadow green, cobalt blue, and yellow.  The bowls were 6, 7 inches wide. the bowls were made thin and the  walls were pulled very wide to form a more flared project.

The teapot was a 4 part piece. It started as a jar and then the lid was made. The handle was pulled by hand then attached. Then the spout was pulled by hand and set to dry for 20 min. All were attached with slip.  The glaze used was granite egg.

Why: The projects chose the theme. The projects were the same scales and proportions sand kept all under control. The projects kept small and there wernt many complicated projects. all projects  were under control in the sense that the scale was kept the relativly close to eachother and the proportions were small.
